These guys are tearing it up. I had a yard overrun with bamboo and Chuck and his guys are making that problem go away.

RE: Bamboo > Save yourself money, time, and frustration by calling Columbia Tree & Lawn Service to get rid of bamboo. Bamboo took over my neighbors backyard here in Bowie MD and it started coming into my yard. So I went online and had 8 or 9 vendors recommended by well-known internet websites call/email within a day or so. I had most of them come by. They talked a good game, their prices were suspiciously low, and not one of them had a plan to deal with the bamboo roots (called rhizomes). These roots can be 2 feet down and reach out 15 feet or more from the nearest stalk of bamboo (miss 1 root and it all grows back). So I gave up on the internet referrals and hired Chuck at CT&LS. His references checked out and he was the only guy who had actual working knowledge of bamboo. The really nice thing was that when the work was underway I wandered outside to look and Chuck took time to explain exactly what he was doing and how he was ferreting out the bamboo roots with his big digging machine. Only then did it dawn on me that if I hired one of the internet referrals I would have spent THOUSANDS and made the bamboo problem WORSE. I’m so overjoyed with the results that I told Chuck to have any customer who is on the fence about hiring him or who thinks his price is too high to contact me so I can invite them to look at my backyard and then across the fence at the bamboo still growing in my neighbor’s yard (they got a “lower price” from some other company).

I've made numerous attempts to entice tree service providers to come out and remove some major limbs and two smaller trees. 1 kept ghosting me, and 2 never replied. Columbia Tree arrived the same day I called with a price, and they finished the job the following day!

Chuck and his crew (including the office staff) are always who I turn to for any kind of tree work. Professional, on time, and good prices. 1st class operation!! Tim Malarkey

I was very impressed with the professionalism and overall service from Columbia Tree and Lawn. They were very quick with coming out for a quote and they were very straight forward and the price was competitive and reasonable. They were very flexible to meet my needs breaking the job up into two parts by getting my downed branch taken care of right away and giving me time to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of the tree. They didn't charge me extra for breaking up the job with two separate quotes which was greatly appreciated. They came out when they said they would and did a great job of removing the branch and later the tree. I would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to call them again for any future needs.

Very happy with the service!!! I had a large tree limb come down in our backyard due to a storm and they were very quick to get me an estimate and even scheduled the work for a Sunday! The guys worked quickly and efficiently and clear all the excess debris. I would definitely hire them again and I highly recommend them!

Chuck and his team were excellent. Four trees were cleaned up for us. Everyone was courteous and patient with me as I went through everything. My driveway and yard were left spotless, and my trees look fantastic. To anyone, I would heartily suggest them!

It was necessary to cut a few trees and remove the stumps from a few more. Columbia Tree was prompt (and amiable) in scheduling us and coming out for an estimate. The crew went above and beyond to ensure the job was done right, and they were efficient and friendly. The subsequent cleanup was just as remarkable.

Three trees and numerous hazardous branches were expertly removed from our property by Columbia Tree & Lawn. They kept us updated on the day of service and promptly supplied an itemized cost for the job. The tree removal was completed quickly and expertly by the four-person crew. Our other crops were shielded from possible harm by the workers. Since the work was completed, there were no surprises.

The response was very quick and the service was good too.

Had some tree pruning/triming done. They came out and gave an easy to understand explanation of their process and I shared some thoughts I had to ensure the trees were not over trimmed since they provide great privacy for our townhouse. Chuck and company listened to my input and they did a great job of pruning and trimming as needed without cutting to much off. I would recommend them to anyone checking reviews. Good communications and timely.

But they do respond to messages and everyone I encountered was friendly and very professional. Their rates are relatively high, but I needed both tree service and some serious weeding for my neglected yard. Since they have experts for everything, I think it was well worth the cost. I will likely use them again.

Great service and responsive. We called and inspection was next day to review and schedule. Work performed that weekend. Trimmed three trees in our backyard which were starting to grow over our deck. Very helpful to make our backyard feel more open.

I have nothing but praise for this business. We had a tree fall on our property, and within 30 minutes of calling for a price, they were at my house. They were a pleasure to work with in every way. It was amazing to observe the large crew who came out to cut the tree off my house. They were quite safe and well-mannered. They come highly recommended to anyone in need of tree services of any kind!

Very professional throughout quote and execution. Price was exceptional for the amount of work done. Cleanup was equally impressive, the crew raked the whole yard and left almost no trace.

Chuck came out and gave us a reasonable price for tree removal, trimming, pruning and clean up of debris. Him and his team team were very professional and worked fast! Check came out and made sure I was satisfied with final out come! Will definitely use again and recommend!

The majority of businesses would have canceled on a day like today, but they even came in the rain! I used Columbia Tree & Lawn Service for the first time 2 weeks ago. The crew arrived on time and did a superior job trimming all trees and shrubs. They worked continuously until everything was done and were extremely courteous.

I recommend Columbia Tree & Lawn to everyone for their landscaping needs. They came out to trim my trees and they did a wonderful job. Their climber, Josh, is clearly very knowledgeable. I was in awe at how well he was able to maneuver the chainsaw up in the air given the position of the trees. It is no easy job that these guys are doing, but they do it well!

We had a great experience with Chuck and his team! They are very knowledgable about trees and did a great job of pruning 4 giant trees in our front yard. They also trimmed a bunch of smaller trees and graded some flower beds to help drain water away from our house. The crew and office staff was always very friendly. We would recommend Columbia Tree!

If you have ever had a copse of bamboo in your yard then you may have an inkling of how desperate I felt. For those who don’t know - bamboo is an incredible plant. It is strong, incredibly resilient and grows overnight. It is incredibly hard to manage. Enter Chuck and his crew. I was so grateful to find him and I am so happy and relieved with the results, especially as winter looms. Chuck walked the land, came up with a plan and over the matter of a couple of weeks they executed. Even more I was able to trust him. He loves what he does and it’s evident in his work.

Our lot was totally overtaken by bamboo. Mr Chuck was the only co that we called who offered a complete removal plan and installation of a barrier. He had the equipment and staff to dig the bamboo up completely. He carried out everything in a efficient and timely manner. We were very happy with the result.

I had several dogwoods that were getting out of hand. As a teacher, I have little time to play phone tag with people. I left a message and my call was returned back to me within my time frame, which was appreciated. I scheduled a time for them to come while I was at work. When I came home my my trees were trimmed and beyond my expectations. They looked beautiful. Highly recommend.
